We work on a variety of technologies that support the transition to a more sustainable energy and resource future. Our research focuses on understanding and improving the economic viability and environmental impact of emerging technologies through process modeling, techno-economic analysis, and life-cycle assessment. Our work spans a wide range of applications such as biofuels, biorefining, carbon capture and storage, desalination, wastewater treatment, algae systems, and many more.
Ultimately, our work helps define technical targets for new technologies and identify system designs that minimize both costs and environmental impacts. We aim to inform technology commercialization, industry decision-making, and policy development through data-driven cost analysis and carbon accounting.
